Gravelton Rides gets a new website AND a new name, all in one go!
The wait is finally over. Thank you for being patient while I’ve put the new website together. It also includes the launch of the 2027 Calendar
Here is my video to accompany the calendar launch where I give my thoughts about the events, their background, what to expect etc.
So why the new name Gravelton Rides?
Well, as the popularity of the rides grow, the potential for some legal-comeback on me increases if I’m perceived to be an official organiser. I’ve gone to great lengths to divorce myself from any organiser responsibility and make sure everyone who participates in a ride understands what they are and what their personal responsibilities are. Part of that was losing the term ‘Events’ which could be construed as organised rides. So Gravelton Events is now Gravelton Rides!
Some features to look out for on the site
- You can now search for rides in the bar above the calendar
- There is a new FAQs page which attempts to answer the most common questions I get
- Each ride is now tagged and that tag, if clicked, will list all events with associated with that tag. Think of it as a filter.
- You can filter by area and search by name
- Gravelton GOAT ride pages and headline access to the calendar + remaining 2026 events and The MMH are FREE for everyone
- All other ride page content is now behind a Premium Membership. £12 for the year discounted to £10 until Dec 31 if you use the code GRAVELTON2FREE
- All your route files are in the Downloads area of your account once you have subscribed and logged in. Free ride pages have route file links in them
New Rides for 2027
The 2027 calendar is packed with rides new and old. Almost every ride in 2026 is included. For 2027 you have:
- 1 new road ride – The MMH
- 3 new gravel rides – The Malvern Beacon Buster, Glorious Gwydir & Twin Llyn
- 1 new gravel weekender – North Wales
- 1 new GOAT Route – Churn n Earn
…and don’t forget the first midweek night ride incoming next month too Dust n Darkness
Thanks for the support everyone. Any issues with the new site, which I expect there maybe, just get in touch and I’ll sort it
Thanks, see you on the trails soon
